I will be installing my new hardwood floors next week. I realize that no room is perfectly square and you need to compensate for the unsquareness of the room with your first cut. But, the majority of my installation will be in rooms that all flow together, ie no doorways. I prefer not to stop laying hardwood between rooms in order to square each individual room… Any solutions?
Thanks.

i would suggest were you want to start square it off and run it all from there by rights if it starts square it should stay square
use a chalk line along your longest visible point. measure off of an outside wall if you can since they usually tend to run the most square from room to room. After you put your chalk line down, look at it from different angles to make sure it looks square to the room(s). be careful of what color you use in your chalk box, since some are permanent and will stain anything they come in contact with.
