My brilliant roommates and I put a fairly significant number of holes caused by darts in our hardwood floor and want to get our security deposit back when we move out at the end of the month. Any cost effective suggestions on how to repair these holes (or at least make them unnoticeable) would be greatly appreciated.

Buy a stick of wood filler/putty.
It comes in various colours to match existing.
Answer:
Professional sanding and refinishing.
You may lose more than a security deposit.
That, my friend, is called ABUSE.
Not normal wear and tear.
If you know the Style and the Color of the floor or if you still have the box it came in you should be able to take it to a flooring dealer and they can purchase from the manufacturer some wood filler that is specific to that product. Otherwise the previous answer is your best option.
saw dust and glue
go to the home depot /Lowe’s/ace/or local hardware,at the paint and stains section should be the wood putty tube or small container you can take a color comparison chart is free so you can match the wood color and patch them
