My toddler had an undiscovered accident on our livingroom rug. It soaked into our wood floor and left a black spot about 3′x3′. We are moving from this apartment and do not want to loose our deposit. We don’t have much $, but can someone tell us how we can repair just this small area on the floor. It is a real wood floor.

Try and put some bleach on it. That often helps. You also may ask at the Home Depot they may have an other solution.
Otherwise you may have someone with good skills cut out the wood and replace it and reseal it or wax it to match the existing floor.
first try to sand it out then repoly the floor…if that does not work then you are going to have to cut out the section of floor and put down new wood …or just put a rug over it when you leave and hope that he doesn’t pick it up before you get your deposit back….good luck
