Living room is 18×12 Attached dining room is7×8 and small hallway 5×4. I’m assuming I should do all at once but after that I’m lost. I am trying to sell my home so I don’t want a huge cost and I’ve heard it wasn’t too difficult but would like some other opinions. How long would it take.etc. But my main concern is about how much it would cost. Anybody?

I had an on-site inspection. He told me it would cost $750, just because that’s the minimum they charge. I’ve never had this done before, so I don’t know if the quote is too high, just right, etc. My floor has not cuts, gaps or gashes. It’s just worn in various spots.

I have a section of flooring in my house that is approximately 300 square feet. The flooring material is oak solid hardwood that is nailed directly to the sub-floor.
I want to refinish this to due to a bunch of surface defects and to change the general color to a darker stain. I do not want to do this work myself. I want to have a contractor sand it, stain it, coat it, etc. How much would this cost approximately? You can tell me by sq. ft. or total.
I realize there are many dynamics that can cause estimates to be higher or lower. I have no clue how much this would cost to do and am looking to ballpark it.

I’ve seen the laminate flooring that is an alternative to hardwood floor and I would like to get some put in. I have a square room just under 200 sq. feet that I will be putting it in.
My question is, how much should I be expecting to pay per foot for the installation? Also, are there any questions I should be asking my contractor when shopping?
